The palette, not a video.

These panels are recreated live in HTML and CSS — the same layouts the app draws, rendered right on this page.

Nothing turns on until you do.

A fresh install is a launcher, a calculator and your clipboard. Everything else waits for you to switch it on — and none of it needs an account.

AI actions

No rewriting, no summarizing and no history file until you turn it on.

Snippets

The only feature that watches typing. Matching stays on your Mac.

Calendar

Explains what it reads before macOS asks. Events never leave.

Clipboard history

On by default, kept on your Mac for 3 months. Password managers are skipped.

Permissions are asked for the moment a feature needs one — never at launch.

Built for the keyboard.

Pick one shortcut to summon the palette. Everything after that is a key away, and keys follow their position, so any layout works.

Up and running in a minute.

  1. 1

    Download & install

Grab the latest disk image from releases and drag Zappale to Applications.

  2. 2

    Press Space

The palette appears where your cursor is. That is the whole interface.

  3. 3

    Type to launch

Two letters are usually enough. Everything else can wait until you look for it.

“ No account. No telemetry. No nonsense. ”

the whole privacy policy, more or less

Native, end to end

AppKit and Swift, zero third-party dependencies. It opens before Electron has finished thinking about it.

Nothing leaves your Mac

No account, no telemetry, no update pings you did not ask for. AI features stay off until you turn them on.

Open source, MIT

Read every line and build it yourself. The feature set is deliberately small so it stays that way.

Free, and staying free

There is no Pro tier waiting behind a paywall, and there never will be.

Put your Mac on a shorter path.

Zappale is free and open source, with no account and no telemetry. If it earns a place on your Mac, star the project to keep development going.
